New car purchase
I have a non third gen question. I am buying a new car in California, due to the deal I can get. My question comes from sales taxes. If I pay California sales tax on the car but don't register it, how will sales tax and fees work on the car when I do register it in Tucson?

If you buy it and don't register it in California, then you won't have to worry about our sales tax. When you get it to Tucson and register it there, then you'd pay AZ taxes if that is how your state works.

Are you sure the dealership will allow you to purchase it and take delivery without being the registered owner?
There are az dealerships that will deliver the car to you in California to save sales tax.
