that looks like competitive road racing. I'm more into not smashing up my car due to my own ineptness or someone's lack of skill. But it does look like fun, just not with my daily driver.

Like a real speed race, People with money and fast cars. Would probably be fun to drive the course by yourself, rather than chances of getting your car hit. Those Mustangs come every day for those guys our 3rd gens don't.

The video is of the American Iron Series that NASA offers. It is a competitive racing series.
The HPDE that I mentioned is the - High Performance Driving Experience. It is designed for cars like ours. No bumping and banging goes on. It gives you an opportunity to drive your car on a track and you also get input from racing instructors. As your skill improves you can later apply for a racing license.
