Update on my GTA....

Got the latest numbers from the body shop - $2,668 worth of damage. A little more than the initial estimate but still far enough away from declaring the car totaled.

I'll be paying an additional $375 out of my pocket to have the rear deck and new fiberglass spoiler prepped and painted.

Glad to hear it's not totaled. Does this mean that you front fenders will be repaired at the same time?

When I had my car in for body work the bastards at the shop wanted 2k to paint the rest of my car At least your car is not totaled and will be looking sweet with the spoiler All I got out of the incident with the lady hitting me is a shiny front end.

Russ,
Nope, the small dings will still be in the front fenders. Only the back half of the car is getting painted and blended. Those were the only flaws in the body on my car so this accident messing up the flawless rear body work bums me out.

On the upside, the rear should look brand new when done and the crappy factory spoiler will be gone. The new fiberglass spoiler is much lighter and is going to look much better.

There's a detailing shop near my work that does paintless dent removal and we get a 10% discount there. One afternoon I'm going to run the car over there and see about having the dings the fenders removed. At that point my car will be ultra straight.
