I'm just down the road in Woodland Hills (Valley Circle exit) and there is a pretty clean looking '86 TA for sale near my house. I can get the number if you're interested or at the very least, give you directions to drive by and see the car.

1) East on 101, exit Valley Circle/Mulholland - turn left, then left again over bridge on to Valley Circle.
2) Follow Valley Circle to Burbank Blvd. - Turn right
3) Burbank becomes Platt Ave. - continue on Platt till you get to Calvert (3rd traffic light). TA will be on right hand side of Platt just after Calvert.
It looks all stock and to be in great shape. Not sure what the asking price is.

Here's another one for you:

Details:
1985 Pontiac Trans Am
AWESOME T/A -- Tuned Port Injec - $4,000.00 FIRM Just about everything you can replace or rebuild on a car has been done. I have all of the receipts to prove it! Every lightbulb has been replaced, inside, outside, sidemarkers, headlights, etc. There is absolutely no rust anywhere on this car and there are no missing parts! The headliner and the front and rear seats have been reupholstered. It has T-tops that do not leak. New weather stripping on both passenger and drivers door. This is no ordinary run of the mill 5.0 litre. This car will eat any stock 5.0 on the road. The odometer was reset to zero in 2/99 when the new engine was put in and the transmission was rebuilt. The engine and trans have about 14,500 miles. Actual vehicle miles are in the neighborhood of 140,000. The paint is about 2 years old. The body is straight and it has an AM/FM cassette. This was a 3 year father and son project, while my son attended Universal Technical Institute for Automotive Technology. We put this car together again from the ground up. New Chevy 305 TPI Crate motor, new flywheel, Crane Compu-Cam, Jet Chip, Hypertech 50,000 Volt Coil, Accel wires, Bosch Plat. Plugs, new electric fuel pump, rebuilt 700 R4 w/B&M stage two shift kit, new throttle position sensor, 9 Bolt Pontiac rear end with 3:45 Posi, motor mounts, torque bar mounts, Exide Nascar select battery (84 month), trans mount, new hoses, belts, blower motor, water pump, cooling fan motor with remote switch. New wiper motor, turn signal switch and wiper lever, windshield, air conditioner, high intensity fog lights, KYB gas shocks in the front and rear, new 16" GTA wheels, 3" custom exhaust with Magnaflow muffler, four row radiator, Derale oil cooler, and brand new tires that were put on 9/27/01. The only thing wrong with the car is the drivers door sticks a little bit. It should be realigned. The console flip-up door cover between the seats is cracked. There are some minor door dings on the sides of the car that do not show up in the picture. All seats have been professional reupholstered except for the drivers seat. It has a tear in it. This car is mechanically perfect. There is nothing on this car you could replace mechanically to make it better. Just remember that the body is not perfect. It is an '85 but it is a damn nice looking '85 and damn fast! Buyer arranges shipping and pays all costs for transportation. You may be wondering why I am only asking $4,000 -- at this point the project my son and I started is complete and I currently have 6 cars in my possession to work on. This car was bought and built strictly for learning purposes while my son was attending UTI for automotive technology.

I haven't had a chance to grab the number for the 86 TA by my house. If you're out driving around this weekend, it's a short drive for you to actually drive by and see it.
I'll see if I can get the number off the for sale sign.

Mine. Its this one:
http://home.earthlink.net/~madmax0/ta.htm
Some things have changed since then (like the motor, its a stock 91 engine now) and it needs paint. Both front seats need recovering. Needs carpet. 155k miles I think. Front tires excellent, rears nearing extinction. Mechanically very sound.

Thats one of the reasons I didnt respond before, I dont know what to ask for it. It does for sure need paint though, which I have and can do, but it would take time and some people dont want to wait. Definitely in no rush to sell the car though, its been mostly sitting for the past couple years, except to take it out every once in a while to make sure its still all working and keep the battery charged.
Make me an offer, but I am not giving it away.
