Guess it was my turn
My 'puter died last night. Good thing I have the laptop for back up.
Kevin took the DSL so I'm back on dial-up, maybe the thing is protesting. LOL ! Oh well, maybe it was time for a new one.

Bummer.
At first I thought it was your RS's computer.
I have extra parts from my older system if you want parts (network card, drives, memory, etc ... ).
Oh, if you go with new, Gateway has a good price (don't know details) right now. I am very happy with my Dell though.

Parts
You mean your hard drive is still good, cuz that is what died on mine. It's a 2 gig. 150 mz.
Damn Don, you've got some bad luck with hard drives this year. My computer just developed a couple problems today: it kept restarting, and BOTH of the cd drives stopped working! I took it apart and figured out my video card was overheating, so I stuck a new fan on it and that fixed the restarting problem. I think I have a bad IDE cable because I can only get one cd drive to run at a time now. Oh well.. At least my car drives GREAT now and starts every time

You can always build your own and salvage the parts that still work from your old one. Oh hey and Rezinn you may want to check your power supply as well. Sometime when they're about to go they don't like giving power to certain components.
