extra parts

extra parts

Ok i just got the car back together after putting the cam and headers in... WOW all that made a HUGE difference,

but there was one extra part that was some sort of vacuum switch, it was held down by one of the bolts on the intake manifold on the passenger side and had a tan plug with 2 prongs.
the car seems to run fine without it as far as i can tell but I figured maybe someone could tell me what it was and whether or not its important.

Plug

That goes to the EGR solenoid. It's down low next to the dist.
