The dealer wants $500 for this part for my 89 Iroc, does anyone have one/ have access to one that I can purchase cheap? My local junkyards are no help unfortunately...thanks!!!

89 Camaro Automatic, 305 TPI, got rid of my accel plugs/wires when they gave me nothing but rough idling and a $800 bill, K/N's, lots of love and tears and blood and money!

Lon at Top Down Solutions has rebuilt units that he rebuilds and sells. He reinforces the plastic gearbox with aluminum to make it stronger than new. The price is very reasonable. I think he likes to get your old core back, but you would have to check with him on that. Click on the Top Down Solutions banner in the middle of the top of the page.
I'd recommend TDS as well, always a great shopping experience!

I think I should be all set with the parts I got from Lon's, but if you just want to get rid of it sure I'll take it off your hands.
Thanks

I could always use if for a core to rebuild for my customers. There were minor differences between the 1986-87 & 1988-early 91, but that unit would work for any 1986-early 91. The main difference is the plug that the red/white stripe wire connects to would need to be changed.
