Not sure what it's for. Just found it right now. I have had the car for about 5 years. There is a little light under the middle vents in the very back. What is it?? Is it on all Camaros? I've never seen one before. Just currious.

Anyone have any info on this at all? I am rather currious about it. It isn't something that somone installed either.

 

not telling you this to be mean but there was a long discussion on this about a 1/2 year ago, you should have searched. ill try to find the post but it seems that it is supposed to light up the ash tray just enough to see it at night when all the lights in the car are off.

I don't think a search of "what is this light" would do much. jk... but im not sure if that's what it is either. It only comes on with the other lights and doesn't light up very much. It is a bit higher than the one in the pic you posted, it's on the bottom of the dash. I haven't seen it in 5 years... The only reason I saw it now was I was parked in a dark place and most of my dash/ac lights are burned out right now. It could be that though I guess. Thats the best suggestion of what it is so far that I could find. Thanks.

 

If memory serves, some of the Thridgens cam with Map lights, which were mounted in that location. It could be the light that powers the map lights for car that didn't have them. I've owed 4 Thirdgens, and they all had that little light.
