There was a red Z like Kevin's without the candy stripes, and a blue Iroc showed up late in the day and made 1 pass, not running real well. He said it was a 12.0

 

Did you talk to the guy with the red Z28? I know someone named Evan with a car just like mine.

 

the weather sucked *****, chris' little weather station showed 90-95 degrees on it

I only managed that one pass, the next one i missed second and then began to feel a nasty vibration

the third pass the vibration was still there and was real bad so i just let off.

Turns out i blew a U joint, I changed them out today so all is good. I may try again next week

 

yes i spoke to that guy, he told me he had just put ported l98 heads on there, 3.73s, and some other mods and his car was slower than what he ran before the mods, he was only hitting 14.0 which kind of made the full on slicks he had on there look silly

 

oh yeah, the blue iroc was INSANE... 9 second car once he gets it dialed in, was running n/a, it was a nitrous motor, 406

 

Was that a very clean blue 89 IROC with the 406 and a light skin black guy driving?

Yeah Gene has been out Tuning... He said he went 7.0 @100 @Irwindale and it was way off..

 

Cool deal Gene is getting the car dialed in. I still have to go see his car with new engine running.

Uh That's not a 406 that's a 434.. The 406 is out remember.. He wanted to sell me that 406.. To drop in my car.. Considering with my Combo from him he ran 10.70's n/a now Im sure the cam I have is larger than what he was using then maybe.. And the big drop is the heads.. The large 195's James has now, compared to Vortec's..
