I drive an 88 IROC, it's mostly red
kind of faded on the roof, hood, rear deck lid. Rusty drives a 89 Red GTA
FYI - My license plate reads '8T8 IROC'
Rusty's license plate reads '1FST GTA'
That should make finding us a bit easier
Also my wife will be driving her 98 Dodge Ram - its white lifted on 37" tires.
See you there

I should let others post their times as this weekend many wanted to hand team Blue Bunny their answer to the throw down of the gauntlet. As for myself, no new times, I was or should say am pretty dissappointed. I got some Center Line Auto Drags fronts just in time for the races and removed my fog lights as well. By the end of the night I only manged to get the car to run consistent 13.1s, and that is due soley to the efforts of Jerry. If it weren't for his willingness to extend the use of his laptop, expertice, and race fuel, I would have toiled in the 13.2s and 13.3s all day. Thanks again Jerry :yourock:

Rusty has requested that I go ahead to post his new times. Wants to make sure the news travels 'fast'
Rusty ran a new best of 12.676 @ 106. He managed two 12s the other being a 12.9. Way to go dude!

i thought i posted here, i actually ended up not hitting what i wanted ( i know im just a kid lol) i ran a best of 15.627@88.07. I had a best r/t of .586. And the track guy yelled at me for doing to big of a burnout
. it was when i ran my dad, ill hopefully get some vids up soon. I really think i woulda got into the 14's with smaller tires, i was going through the traps at about 6500 in second, but my tires are 275/60/15's way too big, plus i was bogging off the line. I need a higher stall, and smaller tires. I wont be able to make it back out there till september 18th, so if i can find a job, maybe well see new heads/tc/cat, and maybe a 100 shot or something. it was cool getting to meet you guys too, you both have nice cars. Ill try and get those vids up

I just wanted to thank Rusty and Randy again for letting me pit with them. I wasn't sure when or if my friends were going to show up and had no idea what I was going to do with my street tires.
On a side note, I figured out my 2-3 shift problem with the help of members in the trans forum. Appearantly I had a bind where for a second or so both 2nd and 3rd gear were engaged. When I did my shift kit I failed to open up a particular hole in the seperator plate. Having discovered this I'm not as disappointed with the 13.2 (a personal best).
Thanks again guys and Rusty that 12.6 was awesome.

Yep, that's me.
I screwed up (actually mis-read) the transgo kit. The directions said, "If plate does not have "G" use gasket as guide and drill hole "G" .110 to .116." Since I did have hole "G" I didn't think I needed to do anything so I left it alone. Dana at Pro Built mentioned I may need to open hole "G" up even more than the kit suggests. When I told him I hadn't opened it up to begin with, he concluded that was the cause of my bind.
One other thing you might find interesting. . .. You might remember I asked about my tranny having an extra piston in the 4th accumalator bore? Dana said Bowtie Overdrives puts the extra piston in there to restrict oil flow--the transgo kit puts plugs in there instead.

I replaced the water pump succesfully today, but as I suspected that did't solve the noise I'm getting from the engine. I drove down to Don's shop and he diagnosed it as the smog pump. I checked and I have it in stock at Lon's Pick-a-Part yard. I picked up another 50' of air hose so I'll be able to use my air ratchet to pull it off.
I plan to take my 88 Formula to the Fontana tomorrow (7/31) to get some baseline numbers. I guess I'll call it TDS Team Blue Moon Racing. Since it is a Blue Moon tomorrow I can race it.

So... maybe if im lucky and dont eat anything today ill hit a 14 lol, ill be happy with anything faster than a 15.4 tho

well im back, and extrememly unsuccesful at my 14 goal. For some reason the car wasnt shifting into third at wot, so with the 4.11's i was topping it out
so i finally got it to go down into third (last run) and ran a 16.5 @91.9 mph, so it has the power for a low 115/high 14 there, but with it not shifting at the right time it isnt going to happen.
And on the last run i blew the crap outta the rear. By the time i got home, i couldnt turn at all. (well hardly) with out one of the tires locking up, and making that wonderful grinding noise. But well maybe next time, ill have a solid 14... since i have 2 months
