A lil 383 information

Replacing the Flex plate.. Then from there I'll see if I can be ready for Fontana..

Yeah that's right.. I have not yet once Drag raced any car.. However I do have some ability's to drive.. Would I be able to be completive at a strip and run with you all.. In any case answer would be No.. Drag racing is just not my biggest interest to learn different ability's to drive.. I do enjoy just watching..

I wanted the car to have a new engine and headers and a better cat back.. And upgrade a few things.. Don had the 383 there and No one seemed to have any interest in it.. So I figured Id get it and have Don Get it all set.. With the 383 and Super Ram and the 3:45's I could definitely go out to the track with every one and like Don says "Run With The Boys'.. So I was trying.. When I first got the car back and things were looking safe to drive some distance.. I ran up to Bakersfield.. The car was acting like something was holding it back.. And it wanted to Run.. So I knew I wanted to get rid of the Mass system.. Having a stroker and a 1000 cfm there is no sense for the 88 ecu.. So I bought the Gen6 Dfi and I needed everything converted.. So Don did so.. At the time Don really was booked trying to get everyone in prepped an ready for Fontana.. So getting the Dfi tuned and everything set correctly was asking a lil to much.. So I mentioned to Don don't worry about the dfi I'll have someone else deal with it.. Still to this day Im unsure of the conversion.. I encountered some problems with the fuel shutting down.. I also encountered a problem with the Distributor bolt being loose and that could have been the encounter that happened on the freeway.. The car had a lot of pinging on 91 and with all the change and findings.. I just really don't know what to say.. I didn't do anything to the engine, I kept well focus with everything.. I just feel to this day.. I did not want a Pinging car and it is not my problem.. And from there I might as well just shut up.. What ever is I'll just deal with it..

The Dyno Well that was the day or so before Fontana.. I scheduled an evening there With Bds and Craig started tuning the Dfi in all perimeters with the Lamba.. Once everything was set to go an safe it was time to start bringing it out.. Our 2nd full pull things were starting to really wake up.. I was Like Whoa.. This car is acting Like it want's to Rip the Dyno out every gear it hit.. Craig is getting excited.. This is real good for this combination.. alright let's run it again, he had told the driver to bring it out from a certain something and it produced a lil less tq but our hp was getting better.. Then from decelerating to a stop the car had died like it did on my way a certain day to fill up with 100 octane.. We had thought it was the Driver in the Dfi.. But after explaining him what's been happening.. He suggested Get it fixed get it right.. We need to have the car drivable on the street and Not breaking down and giving us problems.. he suggested he would try and get the Dfi checked out and see if that was the culprit.. After having the same situation happen with the 7730.. We knew from there it's not the Dfi.. So after that I paid the driver for the Dyno pulls and Lamba.. And the next day I went back and paid Craig for the tuning.. Then from there he said get that problem fixed and come back for the rest of the tuning.. Then Go out to the Track and run it.. Really he said go out there and Kick some ***.. But in the end things didn't go that way.. Not even a chance for myself to gain any experience with the Drag strip..

So Im going to make a come back.. I have my New flex plate and Will start getting the car back running good again.. Hopefully.. Will I run 12's who know's.. It really doesn't matter to me anymore.. I wanted a car that was able to perform with serious power.. I seen it done on Dynojet.. So that's good enough for me..

No big deal.. I thought he was just messing around because that's a lot of Ci and horse power .. Maybe someday I'll put some money into the Block.. But who knows depending on the world today.. Stick with the plan..

Dave is just showing his thoughts in a weird way..

Or maybe every one is Mad.. If so what thread do we need to start?
