Pep Boys

Got a new job at Pep Boys as a driver.. delivering parts.
in Torrance, Sepulveda Blvd.

I checked on the computers there how much a 1991 350TPI brand new engine would cost me and with an employee discount it would cost me 1,080.00

Is this too much or is it a good deal?

What do youmean by "brand new?" Is that factory new or rebuilt? If it is rebuilt, I would stay away from anything offered by any of the major chain discount autoparts stores. The only important thing to Pep Boys, Kragen, Autozone, etc is low price. Quality is not important because they will make the rebuilder replace any failed engines and the user will have to do the labor to r & r the engine.

A motor is definitely not the item I would try to get the lowest possible price, I understand you are asking more if the price sounds decent. My other questions would be is that for a shortblock or longblock?

Put a 3.4 V6 in it and go autoxing. You'll thank me later

*edit*
For the record, I still have the 2.8 in the car and the 3.4 on an engine stand at home. Just don't want anyone thinking I had more power in the car than I did last Sunday. I can take a picture to prove the "f" block 3.4 is not in the car.
