Nobody makes a turbo kit anymore, but ATI and Vortech both make blowers.

Check out the Classifieds section of TGO, people are usually always selling both supercharger and custom made turbo kits if you really want one

Thanks. I was just window shopping. I have a long road to go before im ready to bolt on a blower. I will be busy putting the interior back together. The owner of the car ripped out the center console to install a megashifter that looks nice but i want the stock console with a BM console shifter.

The Megashifter for the console is decent, though not exactly the bolt on that B&M claims. You can definitely as least sell the one that you have and then getting in a center console.

Yea i plan to sell it. I actually dont like the look of it because it just looks huge! I am wondering if the shifter parts are the same.. so i can just remove the base of the megashifter and stuff it in a console.

I also need to take pictures beause its missing interior body panels but i dont know how to reference them...

Are there any meets coming up ?

Just post pictures for items you are looking for and ask and people will let you know what they are called. To be honest I am not a real fan of the Megashifter I have one in my IROC, I really do like the rachet shifting for the track, but overall it is more hassle than it is really worth. Though depending on how your shifter was installed I doubt it would be that easy for you to switch back to the stock shifter. Also the Hurst Dual Gate is a complete waste of money just to let you know

Cool.. i'll post some pictures when i go pick it up.. which should be soon. I am like you.. i like the rachet action, but just dont did the megashifter. With the console gone it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Toss the MegaShifter, re-install a stock shifter and add a B&M gate plate.

It converts the stock shifter into a ratchet-like action. You can bang up or down thru the gears without miss shifting.

Some of us have the gate plate in our cars and it works pretty well. Price is like $40.

Wish that would have been available before I installed my Megashifter

Yah, back in the 80's before the smog laws got insane. I think they only make stuff for diesel trucks now.

The next meet is drag racing at Fontana this weekend.

After that is the club picnic:

If you are referring to the pictures of the 84 bird they have I do not think they are working on a street legal kit. That looks more like a show/exposition car to get more sales. I believe when blksc was asking about turbo or blower kits that he was talking about something that could bolt-on and be smog legal. It looks to me like even if that kit becomes available to the public it will cost more than 2 or 3 really nice thirdgens and never be smog-legal, not to mention all the custom work, because that doesn't look to me like a stock L-98 they have bolted that sucker onto
