Parting out firebird, many aftermarket parts
I need to get rid of this thing ASAP. The chassis needs too much work, needs a tranny, etc. I have another project now anyway.
Im am in camp pendleton (located between L.A. and S.D.) I would like to arrange local pickup where possible but I am willing to ship.
Engine:
305 .030 over, 214/224 flat tappet cam, $Make offer
#416 heavily ported heads with stock size valves w/ back cut. Brand new Comp ovate springs installed on them $100
Edelbrock Torker II single plane intake manifold $60
Tall circle track style valve covers with breathers $10
Open element aircleaner with K&N filter $15
Edelbrock 1405 600 CFM carburetor with several performance mods $100 + tuning kit $15
The car went 13.6 and trapped almost 105 with these parts.
Ignition:
MSD 6AL with rev limiter chip set, nearly brand new $150
ACCEL hi-perf. remote coil. $20
Nearly brand new MSD 8mm wire set, 90 deg angle boots $10
Exhaust:
Edelbrock TES headers for L98, C.A.R.B. Legal. Recently high temp painted and baked in heat treat oven with heat wrap installed. Perfect condition, y pipe included $150
Edelbrock TES 3" Cat back exhaust $150
Suspension:
Global West adjustable torque arm (black) with custom rear mount to work with 9" rear. Should fit stock rear but if not global west sells replacement rear mount for around 55 bux
$300
SPOHN tubular lower control arms (black) with poly bushings pr. $90
SPOHN Tubular adjustable Panhard bar (black) poly bushings $100
Comp Engineering 3 position adjustable rear drag shocks, low miles $60
Air ride rear air bags (good for tuning drag launches) all assorted hardware $60
INTERIOR:
Dashpad, 1989 firebird. Excellent condition. One small dimple near driverside corner, otherwise perfect. $80
Hurst shifter, for T5 some wear (a little slop) still way better than a stock shifter. $40
Corbeau race seat, forward and aft adjustable only. Wide version for bigger guys (fits skinny guys like myself too). Includes corbeau frame. Black cloth, no lettering, slight fading upper LH side. $140
Hydraulic Clutch pedal assembly, Master cylinder, and slave cylinder $50
Mechanical clutch and pedal assembly, Z bar and assorted hardware $30
Any other Misc. Parts fro mthe interior are also available, make request.
REAR AXLE:
Id really like to give this a good home
Ford 9" with ford posi, 3.89 gears, Moser 31 spline axles. 11" Disk brakes with calipers. Moser torque arm mount. Less than 2000 miles.
$1400 - Local pick up.

I agree with Dean, not interested in an auction. Besides, I never heard of blue MSD wires, so I'm not interested any more.

What do you know about that...
Hell they have been making blue wires since the beginning of time.

Wow, what a great way to get people to buy your stuff. Bitch them out and call them names. It'll be the next big thing on Ebay.

By the way, please shrink the image in your signature. Its too long and causes people to have to scroll left and right to read the text.

Boyz, don't think we need to get that worked up over this, but I do agree the "seller" has a bit to learn about ethical selling practices.....
As for the blue MSD wires, you're right - they're cheapie version does come in blue. My mistake, I ASSumed they were the good MSD 8.5 wires, which they aren't, so I'm not interested.
However, that being said I would never want to be a part of outbidding someone you've already told you would sell them to for a price so you could lie to them and tell them they had been sold locally.
Maybe I'm a fool, but I prefer more honest transactions that that.
Pity you don't too.....

I told you where you can find me. Grey T type. Probably wont be there this friday since ill be busy. IF you really want to come and see me you can go ahead and come to Camp Pendleton and we can have a "period of instruction" in the martial arts field here on the air station. No one will bother us, trust me.

In my haste to post I neglected to note that you arent local. I have quite a few people I'm speaking to at once. They are not cheapie wires, they run around 70 dollars for the set. If you dont want them then dont post, I dont care to hear your opinion on parts I'm practically giving away.
as far as my signature image,
if your resolution is so low or monitor so small that you need to scroll over because of my sig, you need to step into 1997 and upgrade your system. I have used this board from computers spanning the globe and never had a problem on posts with my sig.
Regarding me selling the parts, im going to sell them either way, whether you like them or not or all you have is negative things to say about them because people know I'm honest (if not ill be held accountable at work) and I'm selling for extremely reasonable prices.

Personally, I think it would be fun to watch.
A little rephrasing here, the BS stops when the bell rings.
Keep me posted, I want to see this.
FYI, in case some haven't noticed money talks. I bought a car out from someone else as the other guy didn't offer full price, I did, cash in hand, and drove the car home.
