I dont see G92 or N10 on that list, so you must have a single cat and 2.77 9-bolt rear end? Ugh!

1989:
225 HP @ 4400 RPM / 330 FT/LB @3200 RPM
(235 HP @ 4400 RPM / 335 FT/LB @ 3200 RPM with RPO N10)

The N10 only gave 10hp can't I just install that myself?

Plus in 1989 GTA only came with 3.27 and 3.45 with the stick.

Only with the Iroc could you get the 2.77's or in 1987 with the GTA

The dual cat is only worth 10 horsepower in the stock engine. Technically, you can't alter the car by putting dual cats on it. The single cat is part of the original build. If you change it, no one will notice. However, if you are going to leave the car stock anyway, why bother. It won't make any difference on the road. 10 hp won't even be noticeable. When the cats, fail a dual cat car is twice as expensive to fix. The dual cats only help if you start modding the car with headers, a cam, heads, bigger intake system, etc.

I don't have the g92 option code but the rear end on my car has 10 bolts...Isn't that the performance one?

The nine bolt is the stronger third member. Recount the bolts. My 1989 has the nine bolt.

Then what is Kevin91Z saying above. That if I don't have the g92 option than I have a 9 bolt 2.77 gear. My car has 3.27 gears. I am also being told by others that the G92 was not even an option for GTA?!?!?!? I'm getting confused!

You don't need the G92 option on a GTA to have the 3.27 9-bolt axle. It's a 5.7L/350 with 700R4 trans, so you should have the 3.27 9-bolt rear with PBR brakes.

Do you see a Tag on your rear end? Should be on the cover with one of the Bolts. But you counted 10 bolts? Is there a Rubber plug in your cover? You have J65 brakes..

I went to the tire shop today to get new rear shocks and I was able to get a proper count it has 9 bolts and it has a Borg Warner stamp on it. I also had a tag off of one of the bolts with some codes on it. So I guess its the right one

I am being told by many people the following:

Although I do not have the n10 code, The G92 code was not used by Pontiac. The GW6 (which is one of my codes) and is the Borg Warner 9 bolt (3:27 ratio)..
