Yep, that is the reason for the re-dyno. Hehehehehehe. Rumor has it the you need a new unrestricted intake system. By the way Parrydise7 should be interested in your 52mm TB. You might email him with the details.

I'd like to see how that puppy would run with a mini ram. I dont know if that is emissions legal or not tho.

Nope, its not. It doesnt have an EGR system. Only emissions legal TPI setups are stock-type intakes and runners, and the Accel SuperRam.

I have a friend with a built 383 running a Super ram and could NOT get enough air through the intake to feed the 383 at higher RPMs . The car(Tricked out C4 Vette) had so much torque that it would just boil the Tires coming out of a turn on sticky 335 Kumho's Autocross tires. He finally dumped the Super Ram for a
$$$$$$ Hogan sheet metal Maniflold to kill off some of the torque and help the upper end of the power curve. He's MUCH faster now that he can hook the car better and it pulls harder higher in the power band.

Must have a Lingenfelter Billet 1000 cfm tb for 383 Sr

But hey you gotta do whats best for you..

Vincent knows how much power he is going to gain with the 58.. Hopefully it will work well for him..

So That Holley Stealth Vortec Kit is not EO legal? I thought thats why they made it? We sure could use an Eo number on that..

He was using a 1000 cfm tb. The engine is real trick and potent.
Its not your average 383 you see running around on the street. I guess the engine powerband was beyond what the Super Ram could handle.
Even with a sheet metal manifold, the engine still has to pull air through the throttle body

Ok Vince you can have your thread back. Sorry it got hijacked. Hope you sell your part.

The Holley Stealth Ram uses a carburator intake manifold, the tunnel ram style. It has nothing in it for the EGR, so it cannot be made CARB-legal. And, I doubt they will recast it with the EGR passages and make it smog legal.
