Nor-Cal vs. So-Cal at Famoso
Greetings all -
In speaking with Kevin, we've expressed some interest up north in regards to a big GTG between us.
I wanted to send a link over here as well if you folks wanted to chime in with your thoughts and suggestions.
I know a lot of us are still in project stage, so let's see who might be interested in ~3 months time.
Feel free to post in our forum below with any replies, thanks and hope to meet some of you soon!

I just realized June 2nd is our meeting at Ricky & Ronnie's. We can change it to the following Saturday so we can go racing.

The meeting could be the following week or a week before. Better yet, meet at Famoso Raceway.

Not sure if it's with the 83 TA or my stock 88 GTA but I'm definitely in on this.

Lots of interest over here, sweet.
Feel free to post in our link on the West Coast and talk some smack, haha.
We could always use some extra motivation.

That insult was already tried, Comp788. I see NorCal's wit is as slow as their cars!

Just for your info we have been upgrading our cars since the last racing season. So times "should" be somewhat quicker. Famoso will most likely be the first chance to try out our new combinations.

Of course not.
I am not bringing a f*cking honda to this meet, WTF?
And it was a joke that I hope you got since no one up here really has anything E.T. wise on the guys down south, especially when it comes to smog legal NA cars, the only person I can think of is Armondo with his 150 shot that runs in the 11's.

You'll have to excuse koolctk, he's still learning how to express funny on the Internet.
I'm still chuckling at Kevin's stab at TraviZ, fueling his fire.

You make a joke, so he makes a joke, then you get all offended about his joke.

Then we'll bring a Honda and disconnect a couple spark plug wires so you can have fun racing with somebody

I would say all the fastest cars in SoCal that you need to worry about will all pass the sniffer test and visual test...Don, Kevin, Vincent, Allen, Jerry, Grey Goose.... Everything is there.
I'm sure there might be a couple trailer queens down here but I've never seen any that weren't just dedicated absolute race cars with no reguard to smogability and street legality.

I have noticed Vince is strangely quiet...
Is he in the corner somewhere crying cuz of Allen's numbers, knowing he will have to completely tear down his motor, add some cubes and better flowing heads just to compete??

Vince has posted on our forum a few times, but there's only so much yappin' you can do before it's time to race!
Saw your new dyno threads 1989GTATransAm, 400 @ the wheels is incredible with that combo.
I could throw a 100+ nitrous shot on my GTA and still not be close to that.
That's what I get for choosing such a mild combo.
We'll see how you can perform at the track though!

We will test our new combos at the California Speedway(Auto Club Dragway) before going to Famoso.

I live here (Bakershell) so I'm in, even if just with my cameras. We're just getting started assembling the 383...so yeah, cameras
Edit: I see it will be in June. I guess my wife can run the cams. I need to get going, lol.

Re: Nor-Cal vs. So-Cal at Famoso
Is this taking place on June 2nd? I would be into going though my car can probably only muster a mid 14, gteched it back home, 5000 foot elevation at 15.1. But I'd like to race my car and meet some other third gen guys. And despite what my sig says I live in Pasadena.

Re: Nor-Cal vs. So-Cal at Famoso
I'd definately be into going though my car is going to look like a real POS. Is there anything else I need to do to go. Sorry for all the questions, but I moved here a few months ago, and I'm not even bringing my car down until april. Is there any special reason to hope Vincents car is coming?

Inside joke. He has one of the faster cars around to put up against the Norcal crowd.
