There's plenty of us in OC.
Check out the club message board @ http://www.sc3g.org/thetrack/ if you haven't already. You can find the dates and times of our meets. I believe our next meeting is the 7th of April.

I see so many from the valley but just like to know which and how many third geners are a little closer to home. I have been doing pick a part runs so if anyone needs anything in particular let me know and I can keep an eye out. I'm in Santa Ana now.

Re: Anyone in the OC? (So Cal)
I mentioned the website to one of my neighbors once (I think they were trying to swap in an LS1) and they didn't show any interest in using the internet to talk about cars. I guess, if you need to fix your 3rd gen around here you just go next door!
Re: Anyone in the OC? (So Cal)
There is a bike night at hooters off Katella (Oarnge, I think) it's first Friday of each month. (Sport bikes). But might be kinda nice to meet up and see each others third gens too. You can check out the bikes (Some are real custom) and the riders are real nice group. I will be there this time so hope to see you there too!

Just put a jumper wire from the a to b terminals on the aldl connector under the dash and turn the ignition on without starting the car.The service engine soon light will flash 1 pulse then 2 pulses (three times- This is showing it has entered the diagnostic mode0 then immediately after code 12 it will down pulses for any other error codes stored, when finished it cycles back to cde 12 again and start over until you turn the ignition back off them make sure you pull the jumper wire out before starting the car.Note- any code will pulse three times, then it goes to the next code and again that one will pulse three time, and so on. ex -3 pulses then 4 pulse, 3 pulse then 4 pulse, 3 pulses then 4 pulses= code 34
With all the crap I have been through last month, I have the next few days off from Thursday to sunday so I just may grab the wife and drive out to check out a meeting again and see Ricky and Ronnies and get the heck out of the house and relax. Thats pretty far though for just going to a hamburger joint.
Edit- Just realised the meeting is Saturday Night- I will be at Irwindale.

Re: Anyone in the OC? (So Cal)
The FAQ and/or the tech articles on this site list the procedure for using a paper clip to check the codes, as well as the codes themselves. This trick works on any car with the 12-pin rectangular OBD1 ALDL connector.

Did you have a really nice looking black camaro in the lane next to me? You need to bring it to the next meeting!
Re: Anyone in the OC? (So Cal)
and I can hear your exhaust a mile away (atta girl) ! Your car looks much nicer than the pics. I am going to try to make the next meeting I have lots of qestions and would love to meet other third geners too! Re: Anyone in the OC? (So Cal)
Just an FYI. I just got new black leather-like seats from classic but here is the thing I had a guy install them for only 2 honeys.
He picked up my car at 9am and had it back by 4pm same day. If anyone is interested in using him you can pm me.
I am pleased with his work.

Is the head aluminum.Cast iron heads arent really worth fixing, i believe. It would probably cost you as much.If not more with machine work afterwards than to just buy replacement cast iron(aftermarket) heads. As for cost i say around $2k to maybe $2500.Buy the way what type of sportbike do you ride.I just bought me a R6(raven).Nice rims....

Wow cracked head. Do you have a 305. Not sure but bet you could use some 113 alum vette heads. See if Don has a set of headers 1 3/4 might be a bit big but those headers are the best I seen. Mine being a Vortec I got the advantage of the raised ports. Match up well.

And I always see a red v6 camaro with 20'' Chrome IROCs...
Thats a nice bike. interested in parts/accessories/apparel? I work for Yamaha and can get you a pretty good deal...

Down boy, down!! The other one is Julie, and she doesnt ride a motorcycle.
Although with one she could increase the local cities budgets even more than in the past.
