stuck on timing

stuck on timing

Hello I just did a 305 to 383 swap. 4-bolt main truck block 36lb injectors Hyper tech 2 chip and a few more due dads I cant get the car to start it is trying but I just cant get it set any ideas?

First make sure the distributor is installed correctly, then make sure you have all 8 spark plug wires on the right spark plugs. You need air, fuel, and spark to make an engine run, so check to see if you're getting all three. Second, you'll need a custom chip as that Hypercrap chip is made for a stock setup, not a wildly modified engine like you have. It just so happens I do customs chips here in SoCal.

hey kevin. where in california are you located? and how much would a rough estimate be on a chip. do you dyno tune? if so how much would that be aswell.

Orange, right near Angel Stadium. We dont have our own dyno but we have a wide band O2 sensor, and we have a regular we go to for dynoing. PM me for more details, I dont discuss business in public.

Hot Rock, I can tell you from experience that Kevin will give you a better chip than anything you can buy off the shelf. The best the aftermarket chip makers can do is make something generic. Kevin will tune it to match what your car is doing in any operating situation.

Thanks Guys,
I will give Kevin a call ASAP I am currently on my home from the gulf I am in the US NAVY and have been gone for about 8 mounths I am trying to get everything in line so when I get home I can run the Iroc down the strip
