I Need help please

I got a 67 Chevy van and 76 Commander motor home, and I need to get them out of my property. I've called many donations places and other places listed on Penny Saver and offered them for free, and it seems like they all give me the run around. How can I get rid of them?? I need to make a room as soon as possible. Any ideas?? Places to call??

You must live a distance away from the nearest Ecology, they take some serious pieces of junk, but not if they have to burn a lot of gas to get them. Do they run? If not, you might have to figure out how to deliver them to Ecology, then they'll take 'em.

Re: I Need help please

Ecology does not take motorhome, and I am in IE so I am in their service area. I assume it will cost me a lot of money to tow it to them -if they take them-because i need a big tow truck like a semi tow truck. flat-bed tow truck won't do it.

Re: I Need help please

Charities have become picky.
Now they only want real good stuff.
We had one come out to pick up stuff and they started picking thru it and taking out stuff they didnt want. I said, all or none, so they got none, the dump got it. And none of it was junk.

Have you checked with the Pick-A-Part yard off the 60 in either Rubidoux or Pedly that specialises in truck parts?

Re: I Need help please

I started to realize charities are becoming very picky as what you said. I honestly called more than 10 charities, and none of them wanted them. Even thou most of them claim in their ads that they will take any vehicle, model, year, running or not. I feel that charities do not deserve crap anymore. I would take both of those vehicle to the dump, but unfortunately my trailer is not that big. i posted a pic of the van to give you a sense of how big this thing is, and my truck is 7' high. Russ thanks for the tip, I'll give them a call and find out
