replacing cat
i have a gutted cat on my car and kind of sick of getting less gas mileage since the gas prices are going up. Anyone try any of these cats, magnaflow spun cat, pacesetter bullet cat,or dynatech power cat. i believe they are only 49 state legal for obd2 cars. so i was thinking of just adding air tube to the cat to make it work.. possibble?? or legal??

Re: replacing cat
I have dual Random Tech cats on mine and have had no problems passing emissions. I went with them because I'd read a magazine article a few years ago about testing flow rates on cats. They had Random Tech rated as the best ones for both flow and function. That's why I went with them. Two emissions tests later and I'm still running cleaner than stock.

Re: replacing cat
Magnaflow cats are what I use. And we have OBD1 cars, you dont need OBD2 cats. They have direct fit 3" cats for single cat cars and 2.5" cats for dual-cat cars.
