Thankfully Kevin has removed the off topic thread that was posted. I was only trying to say that you no longer owned the vehicle in question. I did not see the double meaning of my post, until someone else quoted it to have a laugh at your expense. I attempted to edit the post to eliminate the double meaning and make it clear what I was trying to say, but was not very successful. I did not intend to belittle you, make fun of you, or have any sort of laugh at your expense and was appalled when someone else quoted me and pointed out a second meaning that I did not see when I posted originally. I have given much thought to this, since I want the apology to be both sincere and without any possibility of further misunderstanding. I like a good laugh as much as anyone else, but I try to avoid making others the but of any jokes I tell. I was going to send this as a p.m., but since my unfortunate choice of words resulted in your public humiliation, it isn't right to get off with a private apology.

 

2008 was without a doubt the worst most sobering year of my life. I didn’t just lose my job, my entire industry collapsed while I was in the process of divorcing my wife of 14 years. As a result of the divorce I had to liquidate my assets of which one was my Hummer. These are just the highlights, there is/was much much more. So my immediate interpretation of you going out of your way to post that I no longer had my H2, was you attempting to kick me while I was down.

So I gave you the benefit of the doubt and took the time to research your past posts on a variety of topics to see if you simply had a case of diarrhea of the mouth or if your words were manifested of malicious intent. What I found more often than not is that you have absolutely no tact or compassion when it comes to the human condition. Furthermore you either use a thousand words to say absolutely nothing or just a handful to say much more than you should.

So, convinced that you knew what you were doing I posted my reply. I was going to address/humiliate you publically during the meeting at Fuddruckers for your post but chose not to because to do so would compromise my integrity.

You know, I make it a point to make people smile and laugh whenever they are around me regardless of what I may be feeling inside. I have always offered encouragement and enthusiasm to fellow members no matter how large or small their project or issue. No matter how bad it might have been for me inside, I have been at each and every meeting through this ordeal whether it is 5 people or 25. So much to the point that I made it a point to stop in and see you guys at the casino on my way to south county after replacing my injector harness a couple of hours earlier.

So for you to attempt to dress me down even without knowing/realizing the double meaning of your comment was uncalled-for. Never have I brought someone to task as I have you. Russ, you really need to think before you touch a keyboard. Once you realized what you had done you should have contacted Kevin and asked him to remove the comment. Given the circumstances, I don’t think he would have had a problem with it.

I appreciate you taking the time to address the issue and with that said your apology is accepted.
