new guy! not a thirdgen but...
Hey I've got a 94Z and also 97TA, seems like there's a lot of activity here on the socal forums. How many from redlands area? I'm down for some cruises, meets, or races

Nice cars and welcome.
IMO those types of T/A's are the best looking ones, right next to the 77's

No offense, but to be a member and hang with a thirdgen club, you need to have a 3rd gen F-body car.
So hurry out and get one and join us. LOL

Thanks, if I ever get it tuned and an exhaust built for it I'll bring it out to Redlands, but for now its at my parents' in Upland
Ouch! Plenty of 3rd gen guys on the 4th gen boards, why the hate? Last edited by Wicked94Z; Jul 25, 2009 at 12:45 AM.

There was no "hate" in that post, you're welcome to come here and chat with us anytime you like.
You guys shouldn't read things into a post that isn't there.
PS
Please, before starting a war of words here, please respect the fact that this is a "3rd gen club" not an "all" gen club.

Good concept. Not everyone can afford or perhaps have the circumstances to own a ThirdGen. It would seem to me productive to encourage other people to develop an interest in these unique automobiles. Perhaps there might be some sort of "associate" membership where non-owners would find acceptance.

[quote=Wicked94Z;4231305]Cool I'll probably show up in my TA. The TA is totally stock so you can run against that some time
Sure I need to do some work on it first though new tires etc.

No, all he was saying is that it's a third gen specific club, not a camaro (in general) club.

For all you newbies....the rules are posted at the top of the forum, before you make negative comments, you should read them.
"If it doesn't contain 3rd gen content, it doesn't belong here"
That's not hate, that's just facts.

i don't know about that one Don...lets just say that i had no third gen but was thinking of buying one would you still feel the same then? would you still say NO you have to have a third gen? i don't think thats right. i feel as long as you have interest in them and want to know more about them then sites like these are a perfect start...telling someone they cant be affiliated because they have no third gen is not kool ...just my own 02 cents

All I was pointing out was, this site has rules, but I don't make them.
If you have fault with that, take it up with the administrators.
Re: new guy! not a thirdgen but...
This is a Third Gen board. The rules are that posts on this board have Third Gen content. Many of the guys posting on this board are from a So Cal Third Gen club. Don was kidding in the post about getting a Third Gen to join us, and he clarified it when thin skinned people jumped to the wrong conclusions. The club members like Third Gens, but we don't require everyone coming to a meet or meeting own or bring a Third Gen. We have had guys show up with G-body cars, 4th gens, and a new GTO. If you are civil and friendly, you are welcome to participate.

Re: new guy! not a thirdgen but...
No we cant stop you from posting here, as long as you follow the rules. But our meetings and events are thirdgen only. I post on LS1tech and CamaroZ28.com and such to find out about events that are for all f-bodies or all cars so I can let us thirdgenners know. I'm afraid if we start allowing 4th gens or other cars into our club it will turn into another 4th gen love fest and hate for thirdgens.
If you're interested in owning a thirdgen, have plans to purchase one and need info on what to buy, you're more than welcome to stay.

I've owned and driven both generations, so I really don't care.
What kind of wheels are on the Teal Z? I can ask about wheels, can't I?

Re: new guy! not a thirdgen but...
well im not trying to be in a 3rd gen club and throw around my 4th gens in everyones face. hell even i think 3rd gens look way better than 4th gens! im on an internet forum to help people out. that said ill leave the so cal "club" to avoid further stepping on people's toes, and because my sbc knowledge means nothing here. maybe ill see some of you in the tech/drag racing sections.
