Sept issue, EPA mileage ratings.
Of 17000 employees only a couple of hand fulls test cars.
They have these "exact" procedures to follow then skew the results with adjustment co-efficients they dreamed up. Example they only recently installed a 4WD dyno so prior to that they disconnected drive shafts so they could test them on a 2WD dyno (even the Bugutti) then apply a correction factor to the results to simulate the drag produced by AWD.
And they only test 15% of the models.
Interesting article on how cumbersome the Govt can make things.
