Almost time for a 350

So after a few month's of on and off trouble shooting, trying to find out why when my car warm's up really well its starts to surge and occasionally die, I finally figured it out. My motor is just plain worn, today I put some Prolong in my car and the oil pressure shot up(not that it was too low but it wasn't to high either). I have a 350 tbi out of a 92 van I was thinking about doing a stock rebuild and a cam and throwing it into my car. Will it work? I know that it will mount up but as far as my PCM and TPI set up, will I have to change anything? How much can it be done for?I am doing everything myself(except for the machine work on the motor)

I dont wanna spend too much considering the fact that in about a year I am gonna drop an lsx/t56 in this car.

Re: Almost time for a 350

ur going to need a ESC module for the 350 and and 350 knock sensor and the chip off a 350 tpi car.

I have the ESC module and the knock sensor new from tpiparts up for sale, let me know if your intrested. I will let them go cheap since I decided to keep the 305. 80 for both

First time i see someone around riverside

id say keep the TPI on top of that 350. i just swapped in a 350with mild cam and left the stock tpi on it. fun little torque monster (compared to the 305)

Yeah if you ever see a red/orange metallic formula with dark tint and black 18 inch wheels(for now) you know its me.

I did MUCH searching and found out everything I need to do, and I just remembered I have a vortec 350 out of a 97 suburban with complete minus accessories which is okay I have to use my acc. anyway.

Nice that would be a cool swap. Those vortec heads help build power. My truck is a 98 GMC Sierra with a 305 vortec and makes decent power. Has towed countless camaro's without an issue and thats with 35" tires and stock gearing
