Car crashed, but 12-pack of beer was saved

LAKE FOREST –– A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after he and other occupants got out of a crashed car, holding a 12-pack of beer, officials said.

A motorist called 911 at 12:18 a.m. today after seeing a 4-door black Nissan crash into a power box near Serrano Road and Lake Vista.

The motorist told police that the car crashed into the box and that the occupants got out of the car holding a 12-pack of beer, said Sgt. Roger Dawes.

"When deputies arrived the occupants of the car were trying to dislodge it from the power box and drive away," Dawes said.

Deputies conducted a field balance and coordination test and arrested Robert Ghear, 20 of Lake Forest.

He was taken to Orange County Jail and booked on suspicion of driving under the influence.

 

They had to dislodge the car from the power pole to get to the party! No messed up priorities there.

 

Wow I thought this was a joke. Either way thats funny.
