i'm parting out my 89 iroc

1) new softseal door rubbers and drivers side hardtop window/roofrail seal: door pieces SOLD.
2) T-Top metal top bar (under center of t-tops)-little surface rust at end- make offer
3) 1989 tilt steering column with cruise control, VATS and key 200.00
4) aluminum drive shaft with yoke and u joints 125.00 (sold)
5) complete serpentine setup with billit aluminum pulleys, chrome alternator, a/c compressor, water pump and belt: 300.00
6) edelbrock headers with smog tubes: 150.00 or complete exhaust with high flow cat, 3" pipe, flowmaster and dual bowtie exhaust tips---300.00- you pull it or 350.00 if i have it pulled. car has long block only in it-no trans or rearend (easy job to pull)
7) iroc hood-no louvers 75.00--SOLD
8) 145 speedo, tach cluster with white faces-includes black plastic cover-all gauges work and it looks excellent---100.00 plus shipping---SOLD
9) grey seats, power drivers, 4 piece fold down rears, a little wear on drivers bolster-in better condition than most 250.00 for all.
10) dual fan setup with brackets and wiring...100.00

yes i have it, but you do know the 89 is a one year only column, right? i have the column, key and the vats box available

 

no I didn't know that I have an 88 camaro sports coupe and swap almost everything from an 89 iroc-z besides that on another thread I stared here called need a good mechanic ppl been tellin me that I need the steering column tho and sum module thing too

 

the module is probably the VATS box. i'm not sure if this would solve your problem or not. check with a mechanic and see what they say-i wouldn't want you to buy this and find out its not what you need. i replaced the VATS system/box in my car a few years ago and the shop had to find a new one from out of state (at a cost of 400.00). so this stuff is not cheap

 

I wish I wud have known this b4 so I cuda took everything off the 89 man so what are ur prices on these things I mite need?

sorry, i spent over 400.00 on the new VATS box and it has been used for less than 3 hours, and less than 200 miles, so 200.00 for the column and VATS is a very good price.

 

How is the 89 year column different from other years?

 

it is the only year that had VATS, tpi with the 9th injector (cold start) and MAF. the wiring and computer are 89 only. you can put the 89 column in another year car and steer it, but the wiring wont be right. also, putting another column in an 89 will not work unless you can find someone to re-pin your computer to eleminate the VATS, rewire the fuel pump, the turn signals and the high beams

I have an 89, and I do not have a 9th injector, but do have VATS and MAF.
I did get VATS disabled with the resister fix and then had it disabled with a custom chip,

 

where did you get his done at and how much I need it done to my car and idk if I have that 9th injector either but I do have VATS peiece of shizzle

 

Dyno Don's son (Kevin) burned the prom for me after Don installed bigger injectors.
I think the cost was $150 including the blank prom.

I bought an 89 camaro that was a stolen and recovery from a small tow company. The tow guy put in an 86 column for the buyer not knowing it was a one year only column and hasn't ran since. Been waiting anxously to drive this thing since i got it last July
