He has had a liver transplant for those who do not know. He told me that the first year is key. Once past the first year the success rate is very good.

I have a friend who had a liver/kidney transplant after years of dialysis. It took him about 4 months to get back on his feet, but he's now bouncing around like a 10-year old kid. It was very painful and hard going at first, but he is a transformed man. Good luck Andy and I hope you enjoy a "childhood reset" too!!
