A wc t5 isn't really any stronger than a non wc t5 believe it or not.. To make a t5 stronger the main thing to do is get a gearset with a reduced helix angle like what g force does. I would gladly run a non wc t5 anywhere id run a wc t5.
I like t5s because they are very lightweight. Consider that if you swapped in an ls1/t56 combo in place of a gen 1/t5 combo the t56 would negate the weight savings of the aluminum block.
With the aftermarket gearsets for t5s you can really build a stout lightweight tranny which is great for road race/autox stuff I've built my car for. for a drag car you want an automatic anyway. Of course all bets are off if you abuse a stick.

Re: Are People Still interested in T5
yeah the T5 are very sweat and when i compare it to the T56 my T5 was smaller and lighter then the T56
i been wanting to help my NWC T5 out by helping it handle more since they are rates low power rating
is there really a way to mod a NWC T5 to handle really good becuase i will be using my car for racing kinda close to autocross and straight line racing
if u could let me know i would appriciate

Like I said above, the parts that make a t5 a wc do not really make it stronger than a non wc t5. There are very minor improvements that the wc has over a non wc. If I were you I would just run what you have. I ran the **** out of a non wc t5 in my old firebird that ran mid 13s. The internals never broke with well over 100k on them. Of course, you can't abuse any trans and expect it to live forever
