Well Lon, looks like I'll be needing that handle we were discussing after all. I am going to try and locate a replacement first (wish me luck) and if I get nowhere doing that, I'd really appreciate borrowing your time and part to have you fab one up, of course at a Top Down Solutions fee. Really the first thing I need to do when I get the chance to check it out is why it broke in the first place, I think theres something wrong with the release mechanism itself, I think that may have something to do with why it broke. The solenoid I dont know yet, I'll have to tear it apart and make sure everything is clean and well connected, then go from there. I'm sure that will be a relatively easy fix, I have fixed solenoids before and I'm sure this one will be no different.
BTW, while I am posting... anyone want a 1986 Trans Am?

The only thing I can think is the cable abraded and bound. I can do a "temp" fix for you in a couple of hours, but it won't look stock. The machined version will take longer. I have a big project in front of it. Check with Thomas *** first (800)460-6789. He parted out 2 'verts within the last year. He may have the part. Lon

I forgot to add, congrats on the "new ride".
