Manual Steering box???? Rebuildable???
I recently acquired a manual box from a friend and was wondering if i can remove that top cover plate and inspect the inside of it. I really would like to check the internals and maybe re-pack it with grease if need be. I know some members on here have them. Please help. Before anyone trips out and asks why i'm going to a manual box, DRAG RACING!!! I'm mounting 15x4 wheels on the front. Also it removes some unneeded weight from the front end.

The first box I looked at, had been opened at some time, Or at least thats what the guy at the yard said, and He told me you dont wan't that one. So we pulled a different one and I have seem 2 more since, all three hadn't been opened and worked just fine. So I am saying if it isn't broke don't fixit. But thats just me.
