Yes, your '91 has a 10 bolt. '89 was the last year for the 9 bolt.

If you really wanted to know just get under the back of your car and count the bolts on the rear end housing. That's how easy it is to tell.

That's very possible. From 82-84 and '90-up, GM used 10 bolts ONLY. From '85-'89 some thirdgens had 10 bolts, some had 9 bolts. The 9 bolt was the high performance option since A. the gearing was slightly better (ie 2.73 vs 2.77, 3.23 vs 3.27, 3.42 vs 3.45) B. the 9 bolt is a stronger rear end than the 10 bolt and C. nearly all 9 bolts were disc brake rear ends. Unfortunately, after '89 Borg Warner broke off the deal with GM and quit manufacturing the 9 bolt rear ends for them. Because of this there is now only one place that sells 9 bolt parts and it's a small company that works online and is owned by one of the members here on thirdgen.org and the parts are mucho expensive compared to the 10 bolt.
