Pic of front end restored
This is my first photo try. This is the drivers side front suspension ready for Rotor and calipar. I have sloted and drilled rotors(yes I do feel they make a difference) I removed everything.I reused the control arm, backing plate and spindle. They where sand blasted and painted with 3 coats of black enamel. I replaced ball joint, tie rods, bushings(poly),struts and springs.I also scrapped the wheel well also. So far I have about 50 hours on this side which includes painting. I will post more photos of the car as soon as I can. I have the back done. I must love this car or be nuts?????? Oh yea it's an 89 GTA
Time goes by fast when you are happy doing what your doing. I am lucky to have a 3 bay garage with heat to work in. Hell it took hours to get the control arm bushings out and back in. Ball joint press is the only way to go! I took the first one out with a hammer and socket driving it out. Then I bought the press and it was not bad. Still took 2-3 hours. However I am not a ram and jam guy.I did that when I was in my late teens and early twenties. I am a careful old man of 43 now
I do plan on driving this car on dry days.
