looking to make my own SFC'S
Hi guys I'm looking to make my own SFC's cause i cant afford to buy them but i have access to steel and a welder so i want to make my own. for those of you who have done this can you help me out? I need to know what type of matterial you used box tubing or round what size tubing(2X3)? what is the thikness of the wall 3/16,1/4,1/8 any littlitle bit of info would be great. Thanks for all your time and help...

I'm gonna make my own next week if time always. I'll be using 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1/8" tubing.
I think 1/8" square or rectangular tubing will be fine. As far as the dimensions, I'd try a couple and see what kind of clearance issues you'll get. What IHI suggested is similar to Spohn's. He's also got a set that connect to the center frame rail as well which you can try if you feel industrious. Hardest part will be getting the angles right for the angle flanges that you'll have to attach them with.
