KYBs are good for the price, but I like my Bilsteins wayyy better then my KYBs. IMHO, the KYBs are kinda soft.

I'm real happy with the KYBs.

The KYBs are the best for an inspired daily driver IMO. Yes, they are soft compared to the Bilstiens or Konis, but if it's a daily driver those are too hard. I'm not going to be autocrossing to the grocery store or the gas station, but I do like to do a little spirited driving every now and then.

I have used the KYB Gr2's for the past two years and am very pleased. As far as being classified as a "soft" ride, I don't see it. These things make my car ride "Like a train on rails". I haven't used any other make, so I don't have a comparison to go by. I have run against WS6 Ls1's through the twisties and can out corner them with no problem. I am however, seriously looking at the KYB AGR adjustable shocksm which sell for a/b $120 each. These look to be an excellent value in an adj. strut. Anyone out there using these?

Remember that unless you're doin' some SERIOUS racing the shocks are basically dampners for the springs. In other words stock springs would need more dampning than a good performance spring.

I said screw it. I ordered thr th GR-2's. I wanted the AGR's but unfortunately they only make them for the 4th gens. At least if I read right that's what KYB says.

I just bought a set of KYB AGX's for my 91 through tirerack.com and they look just like the stock set, hopefully they ARE the right ones, as I'll be putting them on in about a week. I'm all set to get a set of WS6 springs and I've already got the poly bushings from PST. I'll let you all know how it goes. One thing I was kinda disappointed with on the AGX's (I've got them, just not installed) is that the adjusting screw is on the TOP of the piston, not on the side like most pictures show. I'm gonna have to pop the plastic covers off the strut towers to adjust them each time, not to mention they've only got 4 settings. To me, thats ok, since I really don't need 8 settings or whatever, 4 will be just fine.

The AGX's are red and have a dial to adjust the load rate. Ifyours are silver without a dial, them you got the wrong ones. They retail for about $120 ea.
