Wonderbar, just weld on a piece of stock?

Any reason not to just weld on a piece of steel tubing? Will that interfere with access to front end parts?

Depends on where you weld it to. I personally feel that might be a little "permanent," but the decision is yours. Maybe somebody else has done this, and would be of more assistance to you.

I made my bolt in version from steel stock..if you can weld then no reason you can't too. Only bad part about welding it in is if it gets in the way of working on somethign else later you;re screwed.
