Too Much Torque
I currently have a 350TPI from my parts car that needs a rebuild. I'm wanting to make a torque motor out of it (383).
My goal being abt 400 lbs torque and staying below 5k rpm.
I'll be installing it in my 82 T-top Z28.
Question is: If I install sfc's, stb's and a wonderbar, will that be enough to keep my T-Tops from popping out?

for what I've been told(by TPIS) when building a 383TPI its hard to get under 500ftlbs of torque. To make a TPI work on a 383 you need to run siemesed runners, and port the **** out of the intake.

500 ft lbs!?!,, really??
I was planning on porting the intake, but do
I really need siemesed runners if I keep RPMs below 5k?
I 'm wanting something fun, but dosen't get too much attention.
My drivers' license comes in handy a lot.
