Front K-member question

Here's the deal.....Before I bought my IROC one of the previous owners wrecked it. They seemed to have fixed the car ok and it all measures out good and straight, however, the left wheel sticks out slightly more than the right one in the front. Noticing this, I checked out other 3rd gens and they seem to be the same way except not QUITE as pronounced as mine. So back to the problem....I put the car up on the lift, and there are two bolts that attach each A-arm to the K-member. Where the front bolt on each A-arm goes thru the K-member it's actually part of the main structure of it, and for the back bolts of each A-arm there's an ear welded onto the K-member. It looks to me that the ears may have been broken off in the accident and welded back on. Also, the hole for the front A-arm mount on the driver's side of the K-member is elongated. I know this can't be good because it probably lets the A-arm move back and forth slightly. Can I just take a washer and drill it out to the exact size that the original hole was and weld it onto the K-member to make the hole round again instead of elongated or should I swap out the K-member for one that's known to be straight and perfect? Let me know what ideas you all have. Thanks in Advance.

Thanks for offering, but I already have another K-member here to put in it. Before going to all that trouble tearing the bottom of the car apart though I'd like to know if my idea with welding the hole up or welding a washer on there would be a good idea or not.

Thanks
