rear brakes that don't
rear brakes that don't
Has anyone tried replacing the valve plug as describing in the following b-body prop valve mod?
If so, Did it work? I had my car at the dealer today, and they told me i need new calipers. i say bulls__t! the left side is a rebuilt so I should have one side braking, right?

And the magic year of your car is...? If it's an 82-88, you should really put the rear disc recall kit in, and fix it the "right" way...

did you adjust the e brake lever? how you do this is by removing the lever from the caliper. then turn the hex stud clockwise, when looking at it from the under side, until the slack is taken up. then reinstall the lever. you may need to sand the pads down a little to get the lever back on for proper clearance. i di this on my car and now i have a firmer pedal and tighter rear brakes. to answer your question though, yes i did the proportioning valve mod. it did help a little. but that was before i did the e brake tightening. now the rear almost lock up.
