Is federal mogul stuff any good? My local parts store (absolutely GREAT to deal with) supplies OEM type stuff and then they have their "heavy duty" stuff which is generally federal mogul.
so anyone have experience with fed. mogul?

Garett

Federal-Mogul owns and/or operates brand names such as Champion, Moog, Sealed Power, Wagner,a nd Fel-Pro.
I'd say they're VERY good.

As long as they can stay in business. They filed for bankruptcy a few months ago; since then they have restructured and kept up business as usual.
My guess was that the bankruptcy was a quick way to get rid of too much dead weight, and allow them to streamline themselves.

For real? Wow. Time to start stocking up on bearings & seals & suspension parts, before they get bought out/sold, and are made cheaper...
they also own other companies like weber carbs and speed pro. my last motor had federal mogul everything except block, heads, cam, crank, rods and intake. everything else was made/owned by federal mogul. pistons, bearings, rings, oil pump, gaskets, oil pump, carb, fuel pump ect....
