Cast vs. aluminum calipers

Does anyone know the difference between the two? I am trying to swap out my rear (went bad) with one from a friend. His has the aluminum calipers and I dont know what mine have. Is there a way to tell the difference? I have an 88 IROC with disks. Any help would be great. Thanks, Thomas

The Alum PBR calipers will not work on your 88 IROC. Two different disc systems.
