sway bar, not round, oval shapped??

I tried to measure my swaybar today, and i tried to measure it as close to the bushings as possible, but the shape was no where near round.. It was oval shaped, it was higher then it was wider.. So i couldn't get an accurate reading near the bushing.. but i measured it on the center of the bar, where it seemed to be more round shaped, and got 1.495" ~ 37mm.... im guessing i have a 36MM sway bar (GTA with WS6). but should the entire bar be round? or is it most likley round where the bushings are. or should i take it apart and double check??

From bushing to bushing, it should be nearly perfectly round... from bushing to end link It will be more oval-like. I don't think they got any bigger than 36mm, so you're probably right.

BTW did you use a micrometer? Sounds kinda exact...

All of them (36mm) are like that...
I have looked at 4 of them so far...
At the bushing they are oval

I measured 35.7 36.3 for four different bars
