Wonderbar..worth it?

Should I drop 30-50 bucks on an Iroc wonderbar? Will it improve my handling or is it a waste of cash?

For $30 yes... $50 probably not... depends how frivilous you are. I don't know the exact benefits though... so I probably don't know what I'm talking about.

DO IT!! I put one on my 1991 RS, and it really tightened up the front end. Go for it.

Regardless of any effect on handling, I think it is a part that we should all add to our cars. As was the case on my previous thirdgen, the frame developed cracks around the steering box. These cracks allowed the frame to flex whenever any force was put in either direction on the steering wheel. Even with the cracks present (they were large ones), the addition of the wonderbar got rid of a large portion of the flex. So, I think it is worth it for that reason alone. If you don't have cracks yet, it will help prevent them from forming as well. The other thing that I think is a good idea to prevent this problem is to make sure that your car has the triangular braces that bolt to the frame and the front side of the crossmember. Most thirdgens I have seen already have these triangular braces though. Probably all V8 cars have them, or all cars after a certain year or something like that.
