ETA on Spohns new SFC's?

I've emailed Steve, but I'm sure he's been busy. Anyone else talked with him recently about these? I'm getting anxious to see his new tubular design, as I'm ready to purchase some good SFC's for my car. I just hope he is able to keep them at a reasonable price.

I think hes keeping the same price on the new SFCs. I don't know when they are coming out though. As soon as they do, I'm getting a set.

He's making 2 versions, same price as the old ones mild steel, and more expensive chrome moly ones. He was talking about the materials for the chrome moly ones being "three times the price" of the mild steel but I don't think he'll sell a single set of sfcs for $450 especially when you can get an entire roll cage for that much. I expect the chrome moly SFCs to be like $60-100 more than the mild steel, only time will tell if my prediction is accurate...

Anyone know how much longer we need to wait? I have the interior of my car out now, and I would hate to put it back in and take it back out a month from now to weld in the sfcs. The carpet could catch on fire from what I've heard if you don't remove it.

I've got the old style and I'm waiting to see how the new ones turn out before I go ahead and install these on my car. It's just a wait and see game now.

edit: I've had mine for three months now!
