Will 4th gen wheels fit my car?

I've been told 4th gen wheels will fit a third gen with spacers. My factory Formula wheels look horrible, and I decided rather than spend big $$ getting the curb rash and de-laminating clearcoat redone, I would set them aside for now and get 4 OEM take off 4th gen Formula/TA wheels from SLP (only $200!!!). Is this true? Where can I find these spacers, and how do they work?

Thanks to anyone who can help...

www.skulte.com has the required adapters you'll need, pricey but worth it.

Holy crap...$280 for ADAPTERS?? Well, that pretty much negates saving big $$ on the wheels...thats $500 for wheels and adapters. For $125 each corner, I gotta think I can do something better than that...I know that doesn't seem like a lot, but right now this is a car on a budget (hence why I will not be fixing the factory ones until down the road)...

Does anyone know where I can get non-billet adapters? I sure as hell don't need billet adapters!!! Thanks very much for the info so far though.

You want good strong adapters if you want the 4th gen wheels. They have to support alot of weight and stress.

Oh, I certainly agree...I don't want my wheels to come flying off!!

But I don't need polished, billet ones either! I'm sure someone makes a decent steel one out there...I just don't have any clue as to where to look.

I don't think I've ever seen steel ones. But, most of the cost comes from the machining it takes to create them, the 5 studs, and the 10(I think) lug nuts anyway. The price of aluminum compared to steel, aluminum is much higher by weight. However, if you compare area the cost is much closer to steel.

Actually the time it takes to machine them is minimal. What your paying for is the machine, and the programming..........
