idle arm?

idle arm?

ok i went to the inspection station because cops are gay (thats another story) and i failed becasue they said i needed to tighten
my idle arm. well im not sure where this is and how i would go about tighting it....could anyone tell me how to go aobut this???

if its loose you need to just change it, which requires an idler arm puller.

I dont see how the cops where able to tell that your idler arm was bad though. I'd just take it to an alignment shop to have the steering linkage looked at if you dont feel like doing it yourself.

The idler are is on the pass. side of the car bolted to the frame with two bolts,the center link is bolted to it with one bolt and the tie rods are bolted to the center link.You dont need a puller to get the idler arm off.
