ATTN: Anyone with a Wilwood Proportioning Valve!!!

I've got the valve, the flaring tool, and my 12 Bolt with LT1 discs is coming any day now . Now all I need are the fittings. Where in the heck can I pick these up? How can I be sure I'm getting the correct items, I have no idea what these things look like. Are they soemthing I can pick up in my local auto parts store (Hilo, Autozone), or can they be purcahsed elsewhere? Pics of what these fitting look like would help a bunch. Thanks!

I know what you're doing, but I have no idea how to help!!!

I'd give Earl's a call, they make all kinds of fittings and the like, maybe they can hook you up. Also, check into hydraulic fluid supply companies in your area.

OK guys, I picked up the fittings a while ago, but I have yet to install them new prop. valve. I read the tech article a few times, but I still have a question. My current stock prop. valve has some kind of sensor mounted to it. What is this sensor, and what will happen if I get rid of it? It doesnt look like there are any provisions for it when using the Wilwood valve. Also, is there any way any of you guys with Wilwood valves can get some better close up pics than the one in the tech article? Thanks guys!

Hello, that sensor is a switch that turns on your brake warning light on your dash if a slide valve in the prop valve moves too far in either direction which would be caused by blowing a brake line or losing fluid in the front brake or rear brake hydraulic circuit. I think you are just plain going to lose that warning circuit if you go to the aftermarket valve, you will just need to check your fluid level regularly and inspect and maintain your brakes properly. Generally you would only lose front or back at once and you would know it pretty quick, the warning light is pretty much for the non mechanically oriented general public-idiot light. Later , Dave

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling it was for some kind of warning light. Now all I have to do is get off my lazy butt and install the stupid thing
