Emergency Brakes

84z 4 wheel discs.
Inspections Suck
New calipers in the rear
New E brake Cable
Okay guys I need your help inspection is coming up and the E-Brakes don't work. The cable has no slack at all. It will pull up for a total of 8 clicks. It seems like the hammer in the back of the caliper won't go back as far as it should. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Or should i just get a new caliper? Thanks in avanced guys.

I never got mine to work real good, but was able to keep car from moving while in drive.
Loosen the cable so the caliper e-brake lever will move to its fully released position.
Remove the nut holding the lever onto the rod.
Turn rod in the "apply" direction till rotor won't turn.
Re-install the lever as close to the fully released position as it will go.
Re-adjust the e-brake cable.

I spent a whole weekend messing with the e-brake system so I could take it to get an inspection.
After all that, the inspection guy never even checked them.
Maybe cause I have an auto tranny??

And they work okay. At least to the point where the car won't move unless I rev a little. Bah Stupid Inspections.
