Installing SFC's

Where did everyone get their SFC's installed? A body shop? Muffler shop? How much did it cost? I was quoted $260. Thats how much they cost! Also which brand do you recommend?

i made mine and did the install, it shouldn't take over 2 hours labor to do it, excluding any exhaust work. as for buying a set i'd look at spohns SFCs

Ede how hard is it to make your own? Do you weld in SFC's to the pinch weld or periodically down the floor boards? TIA James

I had mine dont at a muffler shop for $120.
Spohn is not accepting orders for SFC because he is currently in the process of switching from boxed to tubular SFCs, he should be releasing them very shortly, "we think"

Which are the better design though? The box or tubular subframes? Also, which one, Tubular, or boxed, is good to use as extra jacking points? Thanks.

That has been debated. Tubular are lighter. The boxed would make better jacking points. Tubular are supposed to have more torsional strength but in my mind I think that the torsional strength is not what would be needed the most. I would think that boxed would cause less flexing up and down in the middle. I dont know, but I wish spohn would get his conversion done because I am going to go with his even though I kind of wonder if it would be better to stay with boxed because he seems to make real good products and is always on here to help out if we have questions.
