Will the front brakes (they appear to be 11 3/4 with alum calipers) fit a thirdgen car? AndyZ are you fabricating a 1LE kit? If so, I'd appreciate details.

The thing that prevents a conversion to use any of the 4thgen front brakes is a long technical story. But among the problems is the fact that 4thgen wheels would need to be used in most cases.

A different caliper carrier would need to be designed and manufactured.

I colud probably do some serious research and development work on such a conversion. But the only thing preventing it is money. As many of you know I sell the UPPER door hinge repair kits to subsidise my brake projects, and support my website.

Sales of these kits has slowed conciderably. So my other projects linger as a result.

The 1LE portion of my website has been taken down to allow space for other things. We are about to release a new product, a greaseable UPPER door hinge PIN & Bushing set.

The 1LE info will soon be available on a CD in a much more expanded format. Many more pictures, covering every aspect of the 1LE brake system, and conversion. Including one aspeck that has never been addressed.

I am also working on adapting the 1LE brakes onto an S-10. Many many people have asked for this.

As far as releasing my own 1LE brake conversion kit. That remains to be seen. But I would say that other people are working to make this a reality.

So what is this "one aspect" of 1le conversion that has never been covered?
